Matthew 27:50-54
Hebrews 10:11  When Jesus died, the veil was torn from top to bottom.  A Jewish convert tells about the old testament history of when a man would receive a message of great despair, he would tear his clothes from top to bottom.  The presence of God was behind the veil.  When his Son died on the cross, the veil was ripped from top to bottom due to the grief and despair that God felt having to sacrifice his own Son.  When Jesus died, his death gave each of us personal access to God, our heavenly Father.  We don’t have to go through another person, but we can go to God personally.
