Proverbs Series- The Call and Action of Wisdom

Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools[a] despise wisdom and instruction.”

The Hebrew word “yara” (fear) has three meanings:  terror, awe of, and respect.  God doesn’t want us to be afraid but to have awe and respect for Him as He shows us His power.  Judgement Day will be the fear of terror if we have not accepted Jesus as our Savior.
